Namibia Tour 2021

Dear Parents/ Carers,

I am pleased to announce that in July 2021, we will be taking the current Year 9’s and Year 10’s on a 13 day rugby tour of Namibia.

As I am sure you are aware, we have a long tradition of touring the world to play sport and we value the impact touring has on student’s sporting progress and also the opportunity it gives student’s to see different cultures. In August, we returned from a 17 day tour of South Africa, which was highly successful both on and off the pitch.

The Namibian tour will depart on Saturday 17th July and return on Thursday 29th July 2021. We will be using Edwin Doran, a reputable school sports tour provider that we have used for many years to; organise the tour itinerary, book all travel, accommodation and fixtures and provide support on the ground.

The provisional itinerary includes three fixtures against prestigious rugby schools, dolphin watching, game drives, sand dune quad-biking, some outreach work in a local village and two night’s hosting with our opposition.

The cost of the tour is £2700 and this is based upon 50 boys signing up for the tour. Payments are broken up into monthly instalments which are payable through the ParentPay system and a detailed breakdown of these payments is attached to this letter. I will need to pay a £400 deposit in November and pay off the final balance by Easter 2021. Deposits are non-refundable should you withdraw from the tour at a later date. I have attached further information about payments to this letter.

In order to secure a place for your son on this trip of a lifetime, please complete and return the slip below. We will then email you an invitation to join the tour web portal called the ‘tour kit’. This website contains a more detailed tour itinerary and further information about the tour. The initial deposit should then be paid on ParentPay.

The deadline for registering and paying the initial deposit on ParentPay is Monday 30th September2019.

Yours faithfully,

Mr N Freds
